Club Repair

Is there really a difference in golf clubs?

Do they really affect the way we play golf? Did the last set of golf clubs you bought actually help you improve your game, or are you playing about the same as you did before you bought them? Don’t believe the LIES!

Lie #1

Pros use the same Equipment you can buy at the store.

Truth

No way…their equipment is not even close to what you’re buying. You are paying for the brand name and the multimillion dollar marketing campaign… the pros know another game.

Golf equipment is made to fit the “general” public (a 5’ 10” tall golfer with average built.) Unfortunately, your hand strength, swing mechanics, body position, arm length, stance, and many other swing fundamentals are as unique as you are an individual. A difference of 1 degree with an 8 iron will cause you to miss your target by over 21 ft. at 140 yards out. A 5 degree difference will cause you to miss your target by 110 ft at 140 yards out. Those are staggering problems!

Lie #2

Most major retail stores provide proper custom fitting.

Truth

While some shops can do a "fitting" (if you request one) they will be "custom" adjusted with the “close-enough” method.  You know… they take out a ruler and pretend to adjust your length, or if you’re lucky even your lie angle!

Retail stores are mainly interested in volume of sales and they can’t take the time to make sure you receive a proper fit.

Lie #3

Custom golf clubs are expensive and only for better players.

Truth

The manufacturers want you to believe this fallacy!  Properly fit golf clubs can cost less than half the price you would spend in a store.  If you’re NOT paying for the high cost of a store front and advertising, the money is spent on high quality components that are used for your custom build. EVERY golfer should have a great fitting set of clubs in order to avoid the swing flaws that result from poorly fit equipment!

Our guarantee:  our equipment selection is based on extensive market research and we will always provide the best possible components at the lowest prices!

Club Fitting

The Perfect Club

Shaft length is measured from the top of the grip to the sole of the club head. It affects distance, accuracy and swing plane.

The loft and lie angle is critically important for positioning the club head properly at address and impact. Improper angle can cause a complete breakdown of your game.

The grip size is responsible for obtaining the proper release of the ball.

The shaft type refers to the material (steel or graphite), while flex refers to the amount of force necessary to make the club work optimally.
